Saucey http://www.libertynewsforum.com/saucey LNF Blog Sun, 03 May 2009 21:50:35 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.7.1 en hourly 1 Obama: The cult of personality http://www.libertynewsforum.com/saucey/2009/05/01/hello-world/ http://www.libertynewsforum.com/saucey/2009/05/01/hello-world/#comments Sat, 02 May 2009 00:27:44 +0000 admin http://www.libertynewsforum.com/saucey/?p=1          How did POTUS Obama (aka the Messiah; Barry; BHO; totus; etc) get to where he is today?  Nobody knew the man named Barack Hussein Obama before the year 2006 and even then only the political junkies knew who he was.  Never in our history has such a “no name” been elected to the chief executive.  Obama’s political philosophy will not be discussed here because this should be clear to all that analyze him with an open mind free of biases.  The question is:  How did Obama get elected as President?  This is the question that I am attempting to address and I hope that many of you will add your comments and thoughts on this subject.  I will prove that Obama created, with the help of a biased national media, a cult of personality that catapulted him into the White House. 

 

          I would like to start with a word or two about the idea of a “cult of personality.”  What name immediately comes to the minds of most people?  Most likely Joseph Stalin.  I believe many people associate the cult of personality synonymously with Stalin.  I disagree with this.  Many people have had the advantage of utilizing a cult of personality, most of which just happened to be dictators and or communists.  One almost has to be a dictator or communist to successfully utilize or even have a need for a cult of personality.  The cult of personality has the ability to make people respect and even love him, even when the grievances in which people allege can be directly attributed to the cult himself.  It is impossible for a person to have a cult of personality without the creation of the personality by some form of media.  For example, Stalin had the help of a nationalized media that came mostly in the form of newspapers and pamphlets.  There are many new forms of media in contemporary society such as: television, movies, the internet, etc.  It is probably more difficult to create a cult of personality today than it was a century ago because there are too many avenues in which the propaganda can be penetrated.  Can a cult of personality still be created considering there are many different media outlets in which more information can be made available to the public?  I believe that Obama was successful in creating a cult of personality for himself with the help of the media, his exceptional speaking abilities, charisma, and yes believe it or not his race. 

      For myself, there is no other explanation for the ascendancy of Obama to the White House other than he created a cult of personality.  Were people really confident in their belief that he was a competent leader?  I highly doubt it.  You question almost any person out there that voted for the Messiah and they will not give you one iota of actual substance in their response.  What information was available about Obama prior to the election?  The answer to that is: Very little.  Any negative information about the man that is Obama was either covered up or brushed under the rug by 80% of the media outlets.  With this being said, over half of what is required for the creation of a cult of personality is accomplished.  The rest was accomplished through his own self charisma, talking points and race.  Many may wonder why I continue to mention race, let me go ahead and explain this.  The fact that he is a black man exempts him from a great deal of criticism for people fear of being called a racist.  This fact is pure and simple and needs no further discussion.  Obama’s background (or lack of it) was exposed by certain media outlets that did not participate in the agenda of getting him elected, most of which was either ignored or not received by the majority of the population.  I will not go into the details of the background of the Messiah because they were drove home six months prior to the 08 elections, especially on the Liberty News Forum.  If anyone would like to debate his background please feel free to do so in the comments section.  Obama and the media convinced the public to vote for him, and succeeded by constantly repeating one chimerical word:  “Change.”  Well what was this “change” they were referring to and how was it supposed to bring about real reform?  None of this was answered in Obama’s campaign prior to the election.  Never has there been a candidate elected on such a lack of real substance and explanation of words and promises that were spoken by the Messiah himself and the media.  Do we now know what this “change” is that was spoken about during the campaign?  You bet we do, and the truth has every liberal on the internet avoiding discussion of this “change.” Are they surprised or did they know exactly what was coming?  I think that the hardcore leftists out there knew exactly what was coming but I bet you that 75% of the people that voted for him had no idea what this “change” was going to be.  There is no doubt that Obama used his status as a cult of personality to get elected because most of his followers had no idea what he was actually going to do once in office.  This leads to the next question:  Are people so apathetic and complacent now that they have just stopped asking serious questions and expecting serious answers?  If this is the case then the creation of this cult was easy for Obama. 

     

 

 

      There are two possible scenarios for the explanation of the Obama Nation:  The country has dramatically moved to the Left, or the cult of personality exists.  Which do you think it is?  I am going to use wishful thinking and believe that the Messiah created the cult, coupled with the fact that  has become full of complacent ignoramuses.  I believe that the majority of this country is not far enough to the Left to elect a man who is at his core a flaming Leftist.  Its not possible that the country is this far Left because you can tell by going out and talking to any number of individuals about their beliefs and values.  This being said though, it does not exempt them from being an ignoramus at least some of the time.  People became complacent over time because their lives were so good for so long.  This complacency effects their judgment and vision which makes them vulnerable to a cult of personality. 

 

    

      Many points can be debated about on the previous paragraph because you would need to explain the specific events that helped foster the creation of the cult of personality.  One big event was the economy.  Would the cult have been successfully created had not the economy taken a downturn?  The looming recession was exploited by Obama.  He used the word “change” to tell the people that he had solutions to fix things and make it so nothing like this would happen again.  And people believed him?  How, especially given the lack of substance in his speeches?  My answer is: The cult of personality.

 

      Before people start accusing me of directly comparing Stalin to Obama let me explain something briefly.  First of all, I do not believe Obama has the balls that Stalin did.  Also Obama’s philosophy is not the same as Stalin.  I am comparing the fact that they both have ascended to power via a cult of personality that is based on a propaganda of lies and deception.  There are also some other key differences:  One big difference is that it took Stalin years to create his cult of personality, it only took Obama  a few months.  How long can this cult of personality be maintained?  I am hoping that it will not last as long here as it did in Soviet Russia.  We still have some freedom of speech left and there are segments of the media that are not acting as the State Media.  I hope that people come to their senses sooner rather than later before they really get hurt.  It will be a longer and more difficult road to recovery if everyone has to be personally injured before they understand the cult of personality.
