Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

I agree with your assessment of the Fraser Mummy movies, HH.

My daughter, who collected stuffed animals throughout her teen years, has a stuffed Frankenweenie. I wonder how many of those exist.

Re: Catching up

Lol ! You know, I vividly remember doing that when I was about 3. I climbed onto the kitchen table and started eating it. My mother caught me, of course.

Re: Unpacking the good stuff.

That is amazing!

I am very behindhand with my decorating. My husband just mowed the front yard, so I'm hoping to get stuff out this week.

Re: The Halloween fast food thread

Very cute! Our neighborhood Burger King closed, sadly. I expect there's one elsewhere in town.

Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

I have a couple of Halloweenish tv series I try to watch this time of year, Grimm and Moonlight. The latter was a rather good vampire romance that lasted only 16 episodes, sadly. We also have every season of the tv series Sleepy Hollow, which started out great and then lost its way, we thought.

I ...

Re: Catching up

Great to hear from you! That was a big job, doing those renovations at night yourself. We are having issues with our washing machine. It's been leaking all over creation, so we're going to have to replace it and see how bad the muck is. It's always something.

My daughter and I are going to ...

Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

I hadn't heard of this one. To me, Haunted Hotel conjures images of Vincent Price.

We did get a compilation of Vincent Price movies on dvd last weekend. It was labeled "Volume 3," and I'd never heard of any of the movies. But there is a group of Edgar Allen Poe stories he performs as a one-man ...

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread

Aww, it's nice to be missed!

I miss people, too, when they aren't on line. I've been wondering about Mau for a while. I hope she's ok.

My good phone flat-out died, and I got what was supposed to be a stop-gap at Walmart. That was several years ago. It runs on a relatively cheap plan, month to ...

Re: Catching up

I taught my kids about Santa, but my husband was not raised in that tradition. My MIL was so hurt when she discovered the truth that she wanted to spare her kids that pain. They also opened all their gifts on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning was spent at church bc she was the church organist.

In ...

My phone is out of data for the month, so I had to wait a long time for those photos to load. But, wow! Worth the wait. I love that vintage stuff.

Re: Catching up

Even when both your kids have outgrown it, you could still dress as the Great Pumpkin to pass out candy on the big night.

Our daughter stopped ToTing when she was 16. Well, she did do it that year, so I guess she actually stopped at 17. But we still decorate big and dress up to hand out the candy ...

Re: HIPPIELUVN'S HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON 2025

I love the Renaissance fairs, too, but ours happens in May. When the kids were little it was always our kick-off to summer.

I've been re-watching Grimm, and yesterday I started into Scream Queens.
