Post by adrian » Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:22 pm

I'm hosting a few parties this october and one will be a halloween football themed one :)

I need help coming up with some recipes.. i would like a couple of dishes that would add some SPICE to our party (we are 21+)

something like a buffalo chicken dip or something of that nature.. think tale gating..

any creepy/spicy ideas?
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Hot wings.

Lots, and lots of hot wings.

Do you know how to barbecue? If som I posted a recipe for Barbecued Prime Rib of Beef on the forum. If you aren't familiar with barbecu, or if you don't have the money to spend on Prime Rib, then I would suggest 12 Hour Corned Beef. It can either be a regular meals like Corned Beef and Cabbage, but since it's a party, you may want to serve it in sanwiches, with horse raddish sauce or just plane horse raddish. Here's the recipe:

I am goig to assume you are having around 13 or 14 guests at this party.

Ingredients.

4 Corned Beef Brisquets, 3 to 5 pounds each

2 Aluminum (disposable) roasting pans

Aluminum foil.

Just place two brisquits in eachof the two pans and cover completely with aluminum foil. When you are taking the meat out of the plastic bag, be sure to pour all the excess joice over the roasts. Cover each pan with aluminum foil. Make sure that both pans are completely covered even if you have to use more then one piece of foil.

Place in a 250 degree over for 11 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES. That was NOT a typo. 11 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES, wich essentialy means that if you plan to have this meal at 4 in the after noon, you will have to have it in the over by 4 am. After 11 hours and 40 minutes, remove the foil and increas the temp to 350 degrees and let it roast for another 20 minutes.

Allow the roast to cool for about 10 minutes or so before you slice it. Serve on Rhy bread or hard rolls with horse raddish or horse raddish sauce.
