I just polished my last 3 BRACHS "Milk Made" carmels for lunch today. My house is now, officialy Halloween candy free, and Christmas cleaned.
Believe it or not, however, I did actualy find a box of candy canes left over from Christmas of 2008.

Christmas '08! Now that's something! I recently found an unopened box from last year. I wonder if I can crush them and use them in a recipe?

Well, I swiped all the Twix bars right after Halloween was over. I saw something online awhile back about different things you can make with leftover candy and one of them was a Twix cheesecake. Sounds horrendously rich, but my brother is both a candy monster and a cheesecake monster, so I told him I would make it for him

My niece makes the most SCRUMPTIOUS "Candy Cane" pie, which actualy is done with ground up peppermint sticks or peppermint drops. I am not kidding you, this desert is to die for.
But I threw out those candy canes, because I didn't know what was growing on them.

Mike, I've never had that candy cane pie.... is it really good? If so, then I will let my grandpa to try it for his first time. He has never heard of that before.

iHaunt, I don't know if you have a Baker's Square in your area or not, but that's where my niece learned the recipe. It's available at almost every Baker's Square (use to be known as Poppin Fresh) in my area, but it's only offered during the Christmas season.
As for Halloween candy, I stopped by my local grocery store yesterday to pick up myself a frozen pizza for my supper and they still have a ton of Halloween themed Reeses Peanut Butter Cups left over. Right next to is are shelvs and shelvs of Christmas themed candies.

Our local supermarket seems to have gotten rid of all their reduced Halloween candy now. It's all about the Christmas candy now!
We bought ours in ready for Christmas a few weeks ago. We get it when it's cheaper - before the big rush, just like we do at Halloween!

With next fridaya beint "Black Friday," there will be no shortage of Christmas items for sale. Additionaly, I am putting up my tree on Saturday the 3rd, so I'll be shopping for it over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Jack, I only had to cook one item, because this year was my brothers turn to host Thanksgiving. I did manage to fall off the lader last Friday when I was cleaning my gutters, though. I didn't get injured, but am still quite sore. I did get the job finished, too.

Last week I got a new printer at work. I had to move the workstation it was on In order to get to the cabling.
It has been so long since it had been moved that it was filthy.
I found a printout from 2003 and something wrapped in cellophane it could have been a cookie from a past Halloween, And the only reason I knew it was from Halloween Was that there was also a tiny plastic jack o lantern in with it.

I have found fossilized Halloween candies in my kids' bedrooms when I was cleaning behind the furniture, etc. Not this year, however.
