Thank you, Murf.

I'm beginning my 60th year, and that sounds wrong.

Ah, the 60s are just late middle age. No worries.

I made it through, successfully dodging cards cakes and singing.

Nobody ever throws me parties, or remembers my birthday. :(

Even my mother forgets my birthday sometimes.

My wife is the only person that remembers, so at least I get hugs and kisses from her. :D

Well, mine is so close to Christmas that extra celebration often seems superfluous. Over the years we have often gone out to dinner and a movie, but not always.

When is your birthday, HH?

I am so NOT into birthdays that I often forget mine.

On my sixteenth birthday , completely oblivious, I called home to see if I could go out with a family I knew for pizza.

Surprisingly to me , one of my sister in law's had picked up the phone and politely reminded me that the whole family was waiting to celebrate my birthday and have cake and ice cream.

So yes , the celebration of my orbit around the sun every three hundred and sixty five and a quarter days means little to nothing to me.

That's funny. I can't imagine forgetting my birthday, though I can certainly understand not making a thing of it.
